I. S990 Spray Gun

1.Atomization Performance

High-end spray guns usually employ precise atomization technology (such as the multi-hole design of the air cap), resulting in fine atomized particles and high uniformity of the paint film, making them suitable for automotive repair and precision industrial spraying.

2.Materials and Lightweighting

The gun body is made of aluminum alloy, which is lightweight (approximately 500-600g), and is not prone to fatigue during long-term operation.

3.Adjustment Function

It supports independent adjustment of air pressure, paint output, and spray shape (round), and is compatible with different coatings (water-based/oil-based) and spraying scenarios. 

 

II. Common Problems Encountered During Use and Their Solutions

1.Poor atomization (rough paint film, pitting)

Causes: Low air pressure, excessive paint viscosity, or clogged nozzle.

Solutions:Adjust air pressure to 2-4 bar (test spraying for adjustment);

Dilute the paint to the standard viscosity;

Clean the nozzle and air cap. 

2.Paint peeling or air leakage

Causes: Aging of the sealing ring, wear of the gun needle, or loose components.

Solutions:Replace the sealing ring (suggested to check every 3 months);

Tighten the nozzle and gun needle assembly;

If the gun needle is worn, replace the nozzle kit. 

3.Abnormal spray pattern (asymmetry or splitting)

Causes: Air cap blockage, air diversion ring damage or incorrect installation.

Solutions:Clean the air cap holes with a soft brush and a diluent;

Check if the positioning rod of the diversion ring is aligned with the small hole of the gun head. 

4.No paint suction or interruption of paint flow

Causes: Blockage of the suction pipe, blockage of the air vent in the gun nozzle, or failure of the siphon effect.

Solutions:Clear the suction pipe and the air vent;

Ensure the sealing of the gun nozzle (tighten the nozzle cap). 

 

III. Maintenance and Care Suggestions

1.Daily Cleaning

Immediately rinse the gun body with diluted solvent after use, focusing on cleaning the nozzle, air cap, and gun needle to prevent coating from hardening and clogging.

When disassembling for cleaning, avoid using strong acidic or alkaline solvents (a pH 6-8 neutral cleaner is best) to protect the electroplated layer.

2.Regular Lubrication

Add 3-4 drops of pneumatic tool-specific lubricant during each maintenance to reduce wear on the seals.

3.Component Replacement Period

Nozzle/Gun Needle Set: Replace every 6-12 months or when the spraying volume reaches 500L;

Seal Ring: Check every 3 months. Replace if it becomes aged. 

 

IV. Operating Precautions

Environmental Requirements: The spraying environment should be maintained at a temperature of 20-25℃ and humidity below 70%. An oil-water separator should be installed to ensure the cleanliness of the air source.

Test Spray Calibration: Before the formal spraying, test on waste material and adjust the air pressure and paint output to achieve a uniform and flawless paint film.

Answer A: 1.Nozzle leakage:

Cause: The top pin sealing nut is too tight, there is an object in the nozzle, or the spring is not work.

Solution: Loosen the sealing nut; clean the nozzle; replace the spring.

2.Gun body leakage: Cause: 

The sealing ring is worn out, the connecting nut is not tightened.

Solution:Replace the sealing ring; inspect and tighten all connecting components.

 

Question B:What additional problems may arise from improper maintenance?

Answer B: 1.Component corrosion/stiction:

Cause: Failure to clean the residual paint residue in time, or using strong acid/alkali solvents for cleaning.

Prevention: Rinse with a neutral solvent (pH 6-8) after each use, and avoid soaking the entire gun.

2.Insufficient lubrication:

Consequence: Trigger sticking, malfunction of adjustment knobs.

Maintenance: Lubricate moving parts (such as trigger shaft, sector control knob) daily, use **special light oil for pneumatic tools.
